This Refund Policy governs the purchase and use of subscription plans and one-time lookup credit services available on our website ("Website"). This Policy is an integral part of our Terms of Service. By purchasing a lookup credit or subscription, you agree to the terms set forth below.

1. Eligibility for Refund

As a general rule, we do not provide refunds for unlocked reports or subscription renewals purchased through our Website, unless your right to a refund is explicitly granted by the laws applicable in your jurisdiction.

Depending on the jurisdiction in which you are located, local consumer protection legislation may grant consumers a right to withdraw or request refunds within a specified grace period:

  • EU, UK, and Switzerland: If you reside in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you are generally entitled to withdraw from a digital purchase within 14 days from the date of purchase.
    IMPORTANT EXCEPTION (Waiver of Withdrawal Right): By purchasing a digital lookup credit or subscription and immediately accessing digital content (e.g., performing a lookup, unlocking a phone report, or generating signaling indices), you expressly consent to the immediate performance of the contract and acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully or partially delivered.
  • Brazil: In accordance with Brazilian Consumer Protection Law, you have the right to cancel your purchase within 7 days from the purchase date for any reason and receive a full refund.

2. Refund Exemptions and Limitations

Refunds are evaluated case-by-case. We reserve the right to deny refund requests under any of the following circumstances:

  • Changed Your Mind: Requests submitted simply because you changed your mind or decided you no longer want the lookup report will be denied (unless statutory withdrawal periods apply).
  • Renewal Cancellations: If you do not cancel a subscription at least 24 hours prior to the next billing date, the renewal charge is non-refundable.
  • Active Usage of Services: If we detect that you actively used our lookup services (e.g., performed lookups, searched carrier signaling details, unlocked reports) and did not experience server errors or system crashes, your request will be denied. This is because we incur immediate, non-recoverable data access fees from third-party registries to fetch risk details.
  • Clean Database Results: Finding that a queried phone number is rated as "Low Risk" or has no active spam indicators is a valid search result. We do not issue refunds solely because a scanned phone number returns a safe score or clean records.
  • Late Requests: Refund requests for monthly subscriptions must be submitted within 14 days of the initial charge or renewal. Requests for weekly plans must be submitted within 7 days of the charge. Requests submitted after these periods will be rejected.
  • Violations: If your account is suspended or terminated due to a breach of our Terms of Service (e.g., automated scraping, harassment, or using WhoCalledCheck for unauthorized background checks), you are not entitled to a refund.

3. Refund Process

If you believe you are eligible for a refund under applicable laws or the terms of this policy, please submit a request to our support team.

To ensure quick processing, please include the following in your request:

  • Your registered email address.
  • Transaction details (such as the Payment ID or Invoice Number).
  • The queried phone number that encountered issues (if applicable).
  • A detailed description of the issue or error experienced.

Once submitted, our support team will review your transaction logs and notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund within 3 to 5 business days. Approved refunds will be credited back to your original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution.
